ditch the people-pleasing and anxiety.

discover YOU

ARE ENOUGH.

Jess Campbell, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MACP, AIT

you actually don’t have to put everyone else before yourself.

I help rural women who are people-pleasing perfectionists with high-functioning anxiety put down all the things that are dragging them down so they can finally breathe again.

Whether they’re living and working on their family farm, in the agriculture sector or in a small community, my clients are intelligent, capable, fantastic women who have full, beautiful lives—yet when they come to therapy for the first time, they feel like they’re barely keeping their head above water.

They say yes to absolutely everything because they do not understand how they could possibly say no. Sure, (secretly, in their heads) they’d like to say no to everything! But that would mean letting someone down. And well, that’s just NOT. HAPPENING.

Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

Like you, my clients have normalized their anxiety because they don’t know what else to do with it. They’re busy with work and family, losing sleep, and they never get a second for themselves. This leads to getting lost in overwhelming waves of big feelings. We’re talking not just anger, but intense rage; not just sadness, but bouts of unexplained inconsolable crying; not just frustration, but a deep sense of not-enoughness.

It’s this feeling of not being enough that finally pushes most of my clients to reach out to me (that, and the fact that I’m a farmer, too). It’s confusing to feel like you have so much to be grateful for yet you can’t slow down and enjoy it. Slowing down would mean letting someone else down and not being perfect… and anything other than perfect is just not good enough.

Please hear me when I say that I get it.

I truly understand what it’s like to feel lost in your life, like you can’t keep living under this kind of pressure but you don’t know what else to do.

Just like my clients, you deserve to know your value as a human being; as a wonderful, smart woman who is strong and fierce and capable of anything she puts her mind to.

You deserve to know you are enough, just as you are.

When you’re ready, I would be honoured to help you get there.

I was a people-pleasing perfectionist. I’ve been where you are. I have felt the overwhelm, pushed down the anger, filed away the sadness and wondered helplessly about my complete lack of identity.
